New advances in the field of dentistry are allowing us to do less fillings/ stainless steel crowns on kids! Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) has been a game changer for cavities of all sizes in kids. Small-to-medium sized cavities can be treated with SDF and monitored rather than drilled and filled!

SDF is useful in many situations like with children that are not quite ready for sedation dentistry, or to prevent medium cavities from becoming sensitive and painful in baby teeth. It’s great for small cavities that have formed on permanent teeth!
